Dr. Uthpal Kumar currently serves as Manager of Water Security and Sustainability at Solidaridad Network, a position held since September 2025. Prior to this role, Dr. Uthpal Kumar worked as a Water Management Specialist at the International Fertilizer Development Center from January 2024 to September 2025 and as Manager of Integrated Water Resources Management for Climate Smart Agriculture at Solidaridad Network in 2023. A Postdoctoral Researcher at Wageningen University & Research from January 2017 to January 2023, Dr. Uthpal Kumar contributed to the WaterappScale project, focusing on weather and climate information services for smallholder farmers in Bangladesh. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Water Systems and Global Change from Wageningen University & Research and a Master's degree in Water Resources Development from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
