Rusong Li has a diverse professional background with over two decades of experience in environmental management and advocacy. Early career efforts included teaching at Huangjia Middle School in Tongcheng City, followed by various positions at the Anhui Environmental Protection Bureau. Rusong served as the Science Manager in the Cultural and Education Section at the British Council and later worked as the Programme Manager at UNDP in China. Additional roles include Water, Environment and Sanitation Specialist at UNICEF and China Programme Director at the Carbon Disclosure Project. Currently, Rusong serves as the China Country Manager for the Solidaridad Network. Academic qualifications include a Master's Degree in the History of Natural Sciences from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Master’s in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford, obtained through a Chevening Scholarship, alongside an Associate's Degree in Biology from Huizhou Normal College.
