Yael Tamar has been involved in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry since 2017. In that year, they founded Women in Block, a professional association dedicated to increasing opportunities for executive and thought leadership for women in the blockchain industry. Yael also founded Top of Blockchain, a blockchain and ICO consultancy focused on storytelling.
In 2018, Yael Tamar became a Board Advisor for TerraMaal, a Blockchain Technical Advisor for GSDC - Global Skill Development Council, a Marketing Consultant for Silver Castle, and a Chief Communications Officer for VeganNation. Yael also became a Chevalier (Knight) Ordre des Arts et des Technologies for Crypto Chain University, the leading non-profit research-only institute focused on the public policy issues facing blockchain, cryptocurrency and decentralized computing technologies.
In 2019, Yael Tamar became the CEO & Co-founder of SolidBlock, an end-to-end platform which lets asset owners easily tokenize their real estate assets. Yael also became the Regional Co Chair for FIBREE, the leading international network for exchanging knowledge between the real estate industry, the IT sector and blockchain technology.
In 2020, Yael Tamar became a Sustainable Housing Task Force Member for FinTech4Good. Last year, SolidBlock tokenized the first commercial property in the world in Aspen, Colorado, which raised $18M for the prestigious St. Regis Aspen Resort.
Yael Tamar received their B.A. in Economics from Winthrop University in 2002, followed by a B.A./M.A. in Economics from Hunter College in 2004. In 2020, they obtained certification from the Newchip Accelerator and in 2022 they were a #NFTNYC2022 Speaker for NFT.NYC.
