Garrett Portland, currently a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT Nurse at Children's National Hospital since February 2025, is also engaged in independent clinical leadership development at UVA School of Nursing as a teaching assistant, mentoring third-year nursing students. With extensive clinical experience, Garrett has accumulated over 700 hours in specialized nursing, along with significant participation in pharmacology education as a teaching assistant. In addition to nursing responsibilities, Garrett serves as the Event Director for the Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, managing event planning and budgets, and works as a Group Fitness Instructor at [solidcore], leading high-intensity workouts. Garrett is pursuing a Nursing degree from the University of Virginia, expected to graduate in May 2025.
