Michael Silbergleid has an extensive career in marketing, communications, and media. Michael began their career in 1992 as Manager of Educational Television & Telecommunications Engineering at Huntsville City Schools. In 1995, they became Editor-in-Chief & Associate Publisher of Television Broadcast (magazine/website) at NewBay Media. In 1999, they joined Silverknight Consulting Inc. as VP Level-Marketing Advisor, where they helped companies of all sizes grow their market share. In 2007, they moved to Grass Valley as VP Level-Strategic Technical Marketing, where they co-developed and implemented communications plans for the sale of the company three times. Finally, in 2010, they joined Soliddd Corp. as Vice President of Marketing, where they successfully introduced the start-up to the media as it entered each new market. As part of the senior leadership team, they consulted regularly with the executive leadership team on short and long term technology innovations and market strategies.
Michael Silbergleid obtained a Non-degree in Business Law from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2009. Michael then obtained a MA in Telecommunications & Film (emphasis in Management and Instructional Television) from The University of Alabama between 1990 and 1992. Michael also obtained a BA/BA in Communications (Broadcasting)/Theatre (Light & Sound Design) from SUNY Geneseo between 1981 and 1984. Additionally, they have obtained four certifications: a Competent Communicator (CC) from Toastmasters International in July 2015, Power Messaging 5.0 from Corporate Visions Inc. in July 2015, a Competent Communicator (CC) from Toastmasters International in November 2013, and a Competent Leader (CL) from Toastmasters International in January 2013.
