George Kalwitz is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in NVMe SSD architecture and development. Currently serving as an NVMe SSD Architect at Solidigm since December 2021, George is a founding member contributing to the advancement of next-generation SSD technologies, including the development of a new NVMe protocol. Previous roles include Architect at Intel Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed NVMe SSD firmware architecture, and Engineer 5 at Broadcom Limited, focusing on PCIe Fabric and NVMe Fabric Switch technology. With a foundational background at companies such as Seagate Technology, Dot Hill Systems, Chaparral Network Storage, and several others, George has been instrumental in pioneering various storage solutions and protocols. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, George has demonstrated a consistent trajectory of leadership and innovation in the tech industry since the early 1990s.
