David Cantrell

David Cantrell has a well-rounded work experience in the field of quality engineering and management. David currently holds the position of Vice President of Quality Engineering at Solifi, starting in December 2022. Prior to that, David worked as the Director of Software and Quality Engineering at Diebold Nixdorf from April 2021 to December 2022. In this role, they were responsible for the operational and quality strategy, technical direction, and growth of a cloud-native, microservices-based payments startup. David led a team of over 60 engineers and had oversight of an $18M P&L.

Before Diebold Nixdorf, David served as the Manager of Quality Engineering at Deluxe Corporation from November 2019 to April 2021. David led the quality engineering and release management teams across multiple product lines, implementing CI/CD pipeline, SaaS modernization, and automated testing.

David also held various positions at Fiserv, where they started as the Quality Assurance Manager for Financial Control Solutions in August 2011 and eventually became the Manager of Capacity and Performance Planning for SaaS Operations. In these roles, they were responsible for ensuring optimal performance and capacity planning for a $200M fintech SaaS product portfolio.

In addition, David worked as the Director of Quality Management at Apogee Interactive, where they developed and managed the in-house Quality Management Organization and achieved significant cost reductions in internal projects. David also had consulting roles at CTS, Inc., where they served as a QA CoE Lead, and at SunGard Financial Systems, where they worked as a QA Lead and Business Analyst.

David's earlier experiences include roles at Protective Life as the Director II of LAD Internal Systems - Systems Analysis and Support, and at BellSouth and Cingular in various quality engineering and testing positions.
