Frank Castro has been working in the UX Design field since 2002. Frank began their career at Oceanus Communication as a Game Artist & UI Designer, where they created visual elements of the game StarPeace and designed and produced websites for clients using HTML and CSS. In 2005, they took on the role of Design Team Lead at Magmic Inc, where they worked with product owners to define deadlines and workload for the design team, and produced game franchises and original IP titles for smartphones. In 2011, they became the Creative Director at RocketOwl Inc, where they led and managed a multi-disciplinary team of artists within an Agile development environment. Frank then moved to Phirelight Security Solutions Inc. in 2014, where they worked with the CTO and team lead developer to produce information architecture, concept development, interaction design, visual design and functional prototypes. In 2017, they became a User Experience Designer at Teldio, where they defined UX design strategy to develop and enhance new and existing features, and the overall experience of the product. Finally, in 2019, they began working as a Principal UX Designer at Synacor, where they collaborated with multiple teams throughout the company defining new features and product strategies, met with clients and stakeholders to understand user and business needs to define product functional requirements, produced concepts, prototypes and validated designs, and worked with executives, product managers and scrum teams throughout the company to follow through the implementation and development. In 2023, they began working as a Product Designer at Solink.
Frank Castro completed their university degree in Industrial Design from ISDI (Superior Insitute of Industrial Design).
