John Simpson

John Simpson is a Senior Partner and Co-Founder at Solis Marine Consultants, which was established in 2012 to provide expert marine and naval architectural advice on maritime incidents. They have extensive experience as a Master Mariner, having served in the Merchant Navy as a marine pilot for 11 years and a master for 8 years. A member of the Lloyd's Panel of Special Casualty Representatives, John has acted as a nautical assessor to the High Court in Hong Kong and provided expert evidence in numerous courts globally. Their expertise includes handling cases of collisions, groundings, and the criminalization of seafarers, among others.
