Jay Burkey

Jay Burkey has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Starting in 1999, they worked at Sales Data Inc. as a Systems Administrator/Programmer until 2004. Jay then joined JACAM Chemicals as the Director of IT, where they were responsible for deploying and maintaining the infrastructure and overseeing the helpdesk and infrastructure teams. In 2006, Jay worked as HOL at Tech Ed 2008. From 2004 to 2008, they were a Senior Technical Trainer at New Horizons of Pensacola, where they taught Microsoft Windows clients and servers to Veterans and military personnel using various training methods. Jay continued their role as a trainer at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers from 2008 to 2021, becoming the Director of IT/Senior Technical Trainer. During this time, they focused on teaching Microsoft Windows clients and servers to students and primarily served Veterans and military personnel. In 2021, Jay joined United Training as an IT Manager, leading a team in project management, infrastructure design, and deployment. Currently, they work as a Security Consultant at Solis Security.

Jay Burkey attended Hutchinson Community College from 1995 to 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
