Rick White is an experienced leader in the software and technology space. White served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995 to 1999 and was known as one of Congress's most active legislators on high-tech issues. After serving in Congress, he worked for Perkins Coie in the law firm's Electronic Commerce and Internet Law practice section. He served as the CEO of TechNet, the leading public policy and political service organization for the technology industry, from 2001 to 2005, then moved on to serve as founder and CEO of several tech-oriented startup companies. White is currently the principal of the Woodbay Group, a consulting and investment firm in Seattle, where he focuses primarily on projects in the technology and public policy areas. White serves and has served on the boards of several for-profit and nonprofit organizations, including Motricity, Inc., the Markle Task Force on National Security in the Information Age, the Council of American Politics at George Washington University, and the Seattle Symphony Foundation.
