Marcus Rich has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and coaching. Marcus is currently working at Solliance as a Technical Coach, Presenter & Software Engineer. Prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Blackburn College. Before joining Blackburn College, Marcus worked as a Software Engineer 3 at OnBoard and as a Lead Software Engineer at Authenticx. Marcus Rich attended Crystal Lake Central Highschool from 2004 to 2007, where they studied Computer Science, Math, and Physics. Marcus then continued their education at Blackburn College from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Marcus has obtained several certifications. In July 2012, they became a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate in SQL Server 2012/2014. Later, in November 2017, they completed the Apollo Leadership Program offered by Elsey Consulting Group, LLC. More recently, in 2022, Marcus obtained certifications from Microsoft OpenHack, including OpenHack: DevOps Coach in June, OpenHack: Modern Data Warehousing Coach in May, and OpenHack: Serverless Coach in March.
