Heather Hames, CMP

Heather Hames, CMP has a wealth of work experience in event marketing, operations, and management. Heather began their career in 2008 as a Catering Event Manager and Sales and Marketing LIT-New Business Development at Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown/Lakefront. In 2010, they moved to Marriott Hotels as a Senior Event Manager. In 2014, they worked at Paycom as a Client Relations/Account Management. In 2015, they worked as a Meeting Planning Specialist on a contract basis at ACGME and also as a Yoga Instructor. In 2016, they were an Assistant Director of Strategic Events, Alumni Relations and Development at The University of Chicago. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at Opus Agency as a Senior Event Operations Manager and Event Operations Manager. In 2021, they joined Alloy as an Event Marketing Manager, where they were responsible for overseeing all in-person and virtual events. Currently, they are a Global Event Marketing Lead at solo.io.

Heather Hames, CMP has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University (2004-2008), a Dietetics/Dietitian degree from Eastern Michigan University (2014-2016), and a high school diploma from Lapeer West High School. Additionally, they obtained a Registered Yoga Teacher certification from Yoga Alliance in April 2015 and a Certified Meeting Professional certification from the Convention Industry Council in July 2010.
