Ram Vennam

Ram Vennam has over 14 years of experience in the technology industry. In 2021, they joined solo.io as Director of Field Engineering, where they build and conducts product overviews, workshops, and demonstrations showcasing Service Mesh, API Gateway, Zero-Trust, GitOps, and other cloud-native technologies. Ram also leads and mentors a team of world-class Field Engineers, and leads architecture-review engagements with customers.

Prior to joining solo.io, Ram worked at IBM from 2007 to 2021, where they held several roles, including Senior Technical Offering Manager, IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service and Istio, Technical Offering Manager, IBM Cloud Portfolio Solutions, IBM Cloud Developer Advocate, Senior Software Engineer, and WebSphere Application Server Console Architect.

Before joining IBM, Ram worked at JASZ Technology from 2007 to 2007 as a Web Developer, where they were responsible for web design, implementation, and enhancement as a part of a small IT software development team. Ram primarily used PHP with MySQL to build websites for high profile clients.

Ram Vennam obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina State University, between 2004 and 2007.
