Shashank Ram

Shashank Ram is a Senior Principal Software Engineer at solo.io since December 2022, focusing on secure and scalable cloud-native application networking software within the Office of CTO. Prior to this role, Shashank served as a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft from January 2020 to December 2022, where responsibilities included designing and building software for cloud-native application connectivity at Azure and contributing to the Open Service Mesh project. Shashank's earlier experience includes various technical roles at VMware from February 2015 to January 2020, starting as a Member Of Technical Staff and advancing to Senior Member Of Technical Staff. During an internship at VMware in 2014, Shashank worked on developing a Unified API for Cloud Infrastructure Management and Testing. Shashank holds a Master's Degree in Computer Networking from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering, University of Mumbai.
