R&D Chemical Engineer at Solugen

John Floyd began their work experience as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Trinity University from August 2015 to May 2017. John then worked as a Project Engineer at Dawson LLC from June 2017 to August 2018. In November 2019, they joined Solmem LLC as a Research and Development Engineer, where they designed, built, and tested solar-powered desalination units. Their role at Solmem involved utilizing their knowledge in electronics, heat & mass transfer, thermodynamics, separations, solar engineering, and reactor design. John remained with Solmem until February 2022. From November 2021 to November 2022, they worked as a Chemical Engineer at Syzygy Plasmonics. Currently, they are working as an R&D Chemical Engineer at Solugen, starting in August 2022.

John Floyd received their Bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences with a focus on Chemical Engineering from Trinity University in 2017. John then furthered their education by pursuing a Master's degree in Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Riverside from 2018 to 2019.
