Kevin Loftis

Kevin Loftis has a diverse work experience in engineering and research. Kevin currently works as an R&D Engineer at Solugen since June 2019, where they are involved in research and development activities. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Design Engineer at NemaLife, Inc. from September 2018 to March 2019, focusing on product design. Kevin also gained research experience at Texas Tech University, where they served as a UG Research Assistant in Dr. Siva Vanapalli's Microfluidics Lab. During their time there, they worked on various projects such as producing computational fluid dynamics flow simulations for a NASA project, designing and simulating a 3D printed pressure-based microfluidic sample recovery system using Finite Element Analysis software, and modeling and machining apparatus to test traumatic brain injury in C. Elegans worm. Kevin worked as a UG Research Assistant from May 2017 to May 2018 and from May 2018 to January 2019 at Texas Tech University.
