Derek Yerger

Derek Yerger has worked in the technology industry for over two decades. Derek began their career in 2001 as a Sales Associate at Radio Shack. In 2003, they became the Lead Technician at Harleysville Computer Services, where they coordinated in-shop computer repair workload, serviced computer hardware and software for home and business clients, and created software to automate maintenance tasks. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Technician at The HiTech Life and as a Consultant at Microchip Technology. Derek then worked as a Consultant at Contour Logistics from 2012 to 2016. During this time, they also worked as a Software Engineer at Information Assurance Specialists, Inc. and as a Consultant at SEER Interactive, where they helped install and configure network at their former Philadelphia, PA location. In 2016, they became the Lead Software Engineer at Sub U Systems, where they oversaw integration and compliance efforts for virtualization and cybersecurity products. Derek also architected several products from concept to customer acceptance review. In 2018, they founded Alternate Devices, LLC, which creates accessible products using the latest technology and design tools. Derek Yerger is currently a Senior Software Engineer at SOLUTE.

Derek Yerger attended Bucks County Community College from 2013 to 2015, studying Engineering. Derek then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Engineering from Drexel University, which they completed in 2018.
