Garrison Erwin has worked for several companies, beginning with Patrol Squadron 26 in 2012, where they held the roles of P-3C Instructor Pilot, Mission Commander, Aircraft Commander, and Pilot Training Officer. In 2016, they joined Patrol Squadron THIRTY (VP-30) as a P-8A NATOPS Evaluator, FRS Instructor Pilot, and Pilot Training Officer. In 2019, they began working for the US Navy as an Instructor Pilot, Mission Commander, Functional Check Pilot, and Maintenance Officer. In 2021, they took a role as a Pilot for VR-59, and then as a B-737NG First Officer for Hillwood Airways. Finally, they are currently working as a Senior Systems Engineer for SOLUTE, and as a B777 First Officer for FedEx.
Garrison Erwin obtained a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from the United States Naval Academy between 2006 and 2010. In 2019, they attended the Naval School of Aviation Safety and became a Crew Resource Management Instructor. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Southern Methodist University, which they are expected to complete in 2021. Garrison also holds certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration, including Aircraft Flight Instructor- Instrument Airplane, Aircraft Flight Instructor-Multiengine Airplane, Airline Transport Pilot, B-737 Type Rating, and sUAV Pilot.
