Ryan Garcia

Ryan Garcia has worked in the IT industry since 2016. Ryan began their career as an intern at Medicine Bow Technologies in 2016. In 2017, they moved to Flexential as a DevOps Engineer. In 2020, they joined SOLUTE as a DevOps Engineer. Currently, they are a Big Bang Maintainer at DoD Platform One, where they are responsible for prioritization of epics, new features, and customer issues. Ryan also works with creating Helm Charts both from scratch and DoD editions of community/vendor charts.

Ryan Garcia has a comprehensive education history. From 2012 to 2015, they attended the University of Wyoming, studying Computer Engineering. Ryan then attended Laramie County Community College from 2015 to 2016, where they obtained a degree in Computer Information Systems, with a focus in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management. In addition to their formal education, Ryan has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they earned the Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS) from the Linux Foundation. Ryan then obtained the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) from the Linux Foundation in 2019, followed by the Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2019. In November 2020, they earned the CKS: Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist from the Linux Foundation, and in 2021, they obtained the Certified Istio Administrator from Tetrate.
