Thomas Richter currently serves as Vice President and Head of Global Government & Public Affairs at Solvay since October 2023. Previously, from September 2021 to October 2023, Thomas led EU Policy & Geopolitics at LANXESS, managing the company’s advocacy efforts and advising on geopolitical matters. Prior roles include Director at Avisa Partners, where Thomas advised clients on EU and German political developments, and Senior Advisor & Chief of Staff at IDA Group, focusing on EU trade policy and client communications. Thomas has also held positions with the Global Alliance for Shale Energy, Deutscher Bundestag, Auswärtiges Amt, and the United States House of Representatives. Thomas holds an MA in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS University of London and a BA(Hons) in Conflict, Peace and Security from the University of Kent.
