Thomas Varchmin is an experienced finance professional with over 27 years at Solvay, currently serving as a Finance Transformation Project Manager since August 2013. Thomas has led the implementation of a worldwide Zero Based Budgeting process and has held various positions including Global Technical Operations Manager and Record to Report Delivery Performance Manager for the EMEA region. The expertise includes managing large teams and ensuring service standardization across global operations, as well as overseeing internal controls, audit coordination, and customer relations. Thomas holds a degree in business engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and began a career at Solvay GmbH as a trainee in 1996.
