Werner Cooreman has extensive experience in security and facilities management. Werner has worked at Solvay since 2016, initially as the Chief Security Officer and later as the Head of Group Security & Facilities. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing cyber/information security, physical security, personnel security, and security investigations. Werner ensured the protection of the company's assets and interests from threats. Cooreman also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at ASIS International, where they chaired the Professional Standards Board. Additionally, they have been a Security Committee Member at the European Express Association. Cooreman held the position of VP Security Europe at DHL Express from 2009 to 2016, where they were responsible for security operations, customer support, regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and ensuring security standards compliance. In the field of cybersecurity, Werner pursued education in Effective Management for Security Professionals from IE Business School in 2018 and Cybersecurity - Managing Risk in the Information Age from Harvard University in 2019-2020.
