Ahmad Zaarour

Ahmad Zaarour has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ahmad is currently working at Solvinity as a Compliance Officer (Medior), where they are responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. Prior to this role, they worked as a Jr. Compliance Officer at Solvinity.

Ahmad also has experience in cybersecurity, having worked at Computest as a CTF Developer during their graduation internship. In this role, they developed challenges using the CTFd framework and Docker, maintained the CTF infrastructure, tested challenges, wrote documentation, and stayed up-to-date with cybersecurity trends.

Before entering the field of cybersecurity, Ahmad worked at Potaé (King Kumpir) as an Assistant Restaurant Manager for four years, from 2017 to 2021.

Ahmad also gained experience in data protection and security while working as a Researcher at Hero Balancer. In this role, they assisted with GDPR compliance, conducted data protection impact assessments, and simulated phishing attacks to test security defenses and employee awareness.

Additionally, Ahmad worked as a Network Tester at Digital Investigation, where they focused on testing networks for vulnerabilities and ensuring their security.

Ahmad Zaarour completed their education in a chronological order. Ahmad first attended Damascus University from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy. During that same period, they also pursued an Associate's degree in Business Administration from Damascus University and completed it in 2014. Later, in 2019, Ahmad enrolled in Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and obtained an Associate's degree in Cyber Security, which they completed in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Ahmad has obtained various certifications. These include the Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate from Microsoft in June 2023, the WorkshopPLUS - Microsoft Purview solutions from Microsoft in June 2023, and the Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals from Microsoft in March 2023. Ahmad also completed the Crucial Conversations training by Crucial Learning in November 2022, the Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals by Microsoft in October 2022, the Certified Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst by Udemy in July 2022, and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals by Microsoft in June 2022. Prior to their formal education, Ahmad obtained the Nederlands als tweede taal Programma II from Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs (DUO) in October 2019.
