Mark van Meel

Mark van Meel has had extensive work experience in various roles in the IT industry. Their most recent position is as an Information Technology Operations Supervisor at Solvinity, which they started in 2018. Prior to this role, they served as an IT Cloud Academy Student Supervisor and a Project Manager at the same company. In their role as Project Manager, they primarily worked on projects for the Ministry of Justice and Security, which involved hosting and infrastructure implementation.

Before their time at Solvinity, Mark worked at SHV Holdings as a Service Desk Team Lead, where they provided support to local VIPs and regular users. Mark also worked as a Service Desk Manager at the Intrum Justitia Data Centre, where they led a team responsible for assisting with local support and resolving incoming alerts and tickets.

Prior to these roles, Mark worked at Solvinity (previously known as Bitbrains) as a Senior Customer Engineer, delivering solutions through a DevOps/Kanban way of working. Mark also served as a Trading Application Engineer at Optiver, ensuring the continuous availability of Linux systems used for High Frequency Trading.

Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated strong technical skills and experience in IT operations, customer support, and project management.

Mark van Meel has a strong education background in both engineering and academic subjects. Mark began their education in 1979 at Noord Kennemerland in Alkmaar, where they completed their VWO degree in Dutch, English, Math I, Math II, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in 1985. Following this, they went on to pursue a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Avionics at Delft University of Technology from 1985 to 1992.
