Sem Derksen began their work experience as an Intern at Snow B.V. in July 2010, where they worked until January 2011. They then joined Snow in February 2013 as a Junior Engineer and remained in that role until October 2016. From November 2016 to December 2017, Sem worked as a Remote Support Engineer at AT Computing. In January 2018, Sem transitioned to the role of Engineer at AT Computing and worked in that capacity until December 2020. They then joined Sue B.V. in January 2021 as an Engineer and stayed with the company until July 2022. Currently, Sem is working at Solvinity as an Engineer, starting in August 2022.
Sem Derksen attended Avans University of Applied Sciences from 2013 to 2015, where they studied software development. Following this, Sem pursued a degree in system administration at ROC Rivor, which is a MBO institution, although the start and end years for this program are not specified.
In addition to their formal education, Sem has obtained several certifications. These include Professional Scrum Master 1 (PSM-1) from Scrum.org, Python PCEP from OpenEDG Python Institute, and [PCEP-30-01] PCEP – Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer from Python Institute, all acquired in January 2021. Sem also holds certifications from The Linux Foundation, including Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) obtained in July 2021, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer obtained in February 2021, and Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS) achieved in February 2021.
Furthermore, Sem acquired the Certified Linux Administrator (LPIC-1) certification from the Linux Professional Institute in June 2017. Sem has also completed training in Ansible configuration management and Unix/Linux from AT Computing, although the specific months and years of completion are not provided for these courses.
