Amy Garlock

Amy Garlock is an Associate Principal at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) since July 2014, with a diverse background in architecture spanning various roles and organizations. Amy has experience as an Independent Researcher with the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, focused on creating an online directory for Community Design practitioners. Prior to SOM, Amy worked as a Designer for Preston Scott Cohen, Inc., contributing to an Urban Community project in Tianjin, China, and as a Designer at Merge Architects, where Amy developed design proposals for a dental clinic. Educationally, Amy holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, supplemented by studies at the Écoles d'Art Americaines de Fontainebleau. Other notable positions include Teaching Assistant and Career Discovery Studio Instructor at Harvard, and past internships with prominent architecture firms.
