Kyle Koops

Kyle Koops is an experienced architectural professional with a diverse background in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and architectural assistance. Currently serving as a Senior BIM Specialist at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) since July 2025 and as a Co-Founder of bAKe since June 2022, Kyle previously held the position of BIM Coordinator at schlaich bergermann partner sbp from September 2023 to July 2025. Additional roles include various architectural assistant positions at Medical Architecture between 2018 and 2023. An education in architecture comprises a Master of Architecture from the University of Applied Arts Vienna and a Bachelor of Science from the University of the West of England, complemented by studies in graphic design at Cardiff and Vale College. Notable past experience also includes managing social housing data at Wales and West Housing Association.
