Sushmita Shekar is an accomplished urban planner and designer currently serving at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill since December 2020, with additional roles as a Consultative Delegate for the UN ECOSOC since November 2022, and as an Executive Board Member for the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY, Inc. from August 2024. Sushmita is a Research Affiliate at Columbia Climate School and has been a Board Member at Asia Initiatives since June 2020.
