Thomas Behr

Thomas Behr is the Managing Partner for Europe and the Middle East at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), a position held since relocating from New York to London in 2016. With extensive experience in overseeing international projects, Thomas coordinates SOM's efforts across a diverse range of sectors including educational, civic, cultural, residential, hospitality, commercial, urban planning, and mixed-use developments. Prior to joining SOM, Thomas served as a Design Architect at gmp architekten, where projects included award-winning designs for the Paderborn Regional Airport and several convention centers in Germany and China. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) Diplom Ingenieur from RWTH Aachen University, earned between 1993 and 1999.
