Jason Smith

Jason Smith has over 20 years of work experience in software engineering, with a focus on systems engineering and fault management. Jason is currently working as a Principal Software Systems Engineer at SomaLogic since November 2017. Prior to this, they held the position of Principal Systems Engineer at Sierra Nevada Corporation from August 2016 to November 2017, where they led a team in developing software fault detection and response systems. Jason also worked as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Orbital ATK from March 2007 to August 2016, where they played a key role in developing fault management design baselines for spacecraft systems and was involved in mission operations and software development. Before that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin from May 1999 to March 2007, where they led a team in developing application software for air traffic control systems and received multiple awards for their contributions.

Jason Smith completed a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1999. Jason then pursued a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland, graduating in 2005.
