Robert Walder

Scientist

Robert Walder is a highly skilled scientist specializing in proteomics and optical-based biosensors. Currently serving as a Scientist at SomaLogic since January 2022, Robert contributes to the development of next-generation proteomics technologies. Previously, Robert held dual roles as Director of Research and Development and Senior Scientist at OptiEnz Sensors from June 2018 to January 2022, focusing on the advancement of optical-based biosensors. Robert's experience includes a tenure as a Physicist at NIST as an NRC Postdoctoral Fellow from July 2012 to June 2018, along with postdoctoral research at the University of Colorado at Boulder from August 2008 to July 2012, and graduate research at the University of California, Irvine from June 2004 to July 2008. Robert earned a PhD in Physics from UC Irvine in 2008, following a B.S. in Physics from The University of Texas at Austin in 2003.
