Somaschini Spa travels quickly into the future, without forgetting their history and tradition. That begins in 1922, almost one century ago, and led it through four generations of entrepreneurs to be leaders in the design and construction of gears, to the point of becoming a hallmark of Cie Automotive Gears Division, group of global prominence that either includes another Italian excellence of the field, Metalcastello company, in Castel di Casio, in the Bolognese Apennine. 
After moving from Milan to Trescore Balneario, in the province of Bergamo, during World War II, Somaschini has always relied on vanguard methods and technologies, becoming synonym with expertise and reliability. Somaschini Automotive, highly automated company for the production of timing gears and balance gears for big series engines, was founded in 2007. In 2010, within their international growth plan, they opened a U.S. plant in South Bend, in Indiana, which took the name of Somaschini North America three years later.
