SOMAWA — The Soul of Water.

We build alkaline water ionizers for Indian homes. Indigenously designed, indigenously manufactured, engineered for Indian water conditions, and built to a 25-year operational standard.

SOMAWA is incubated under the National Research and Development Corporation (NRDC), an enterprise of the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India — the only alkaline water ionizer brand in India that carries this institutional recognition.

Most upgrade their water after a diagnosis. Some decide before one.

Our product line — Amara, Amara NXT, Udaka, Modish, and Toya — transforms ordinary tap water into hydrogen-rich, antioxidant alkaline water through electrolysis. No added chemicals. No added minerals. No added salts. Just water, the way the body was designed to receive it.

Today, 5,00,000+ Indians across 500+ cities drink SOMAWA water every day — in homes, workplaces, wellness spaces, and partner-bottled formats.

What sets SOMAWA apart is not just the technology. It is the service philosophy. Direct Somawa technicians — never dealer-routed. On-site response within 24 hours. Annual filter changes by the same technician who installed the machine. After-sales is not a department at Somawa. It is a posture.

Founded by Praveen Kumar and Gitanshu Mittal, SOMAWA was built with personal capital, zero external funding, and a belief that healthy drinking water is not a luxury — it is the most essential one.
