James Simms

James Simms has a diverse work history, beginning with a Senior Operations Representative role at T. Rowe Price in 2006. James then moved to a Senior Financial Analyst role at BAI Inc in 2009, followed by Budget Analyst roles at the District of Columbia OCFO in 2010 and the United States Department of Defense in 2012. In 2014, they took on a Senior Budget Analyst role at the District of Columbia OCFO, and in 2018 they became the Associate Director of Medicaid Finance at the DC Department of Health Care Finance. Most recently, they have been a Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer at Something Better Foods, Inc since 2021.

James Simms obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Financial Economics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2005, followed by a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Finance from the Loyola University Maryland Sellinger School of Business and Management in 2014.
