Sara W. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sara started their career as a Project Engineer at Manhattan Construction Company, where they assisted in managing building contracts and coordinating with various stakeholders. Sara then worked as a Property Analyst at Cost Segregation Services, Inc., conducting cost segregation studies to help property owners increase cash flows through accelerated depreciation. Sara later joined Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses as a Quantitative Research Lead, where they developed a marketing plan for a philanthropic initiative. Sara also worked at Whole Foods Market as a Global Store Development Consultant, facilitating workshops and gathering business requirements for new store projects. Sara then joined CBRE as a Multifamily Institutional Investment Properties Summer Associate before transitioning to a role as a Senior Management Consultant at Kalypso: A Rockwell Automation Company, where they helped clients improve performance and drive profitability. Sara returned to Whole Foods Market and held several positions, including Senior Program Manager and Principal Portfolio Manager, where they led large initiatives and managed resources. Most recently, Sara co-founded Sommly.

Sara W. has a diverse education history. Sara received their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Rice University from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Construction Science and Business Administration at Texas A&M University, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Sara also attended Westlake High School from 2001 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Sara has obtained several certifications related to their professional development. Sara became a Level 2 Sommelier from the National Wine School in March 2022, following their Level 1 Sommelier certification from the same institution in September 2021. Sara also completed a Product Strategy certification from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in June 2021. Furthermore, they hold certifications in Leading SAFe (SA), SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner (PMPO), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Project Management Professional (PMP), and New Product Development Professional (NPDP) that they acquired in 2017, 2015, and 2013 respectively.
