Michael Abate

Michael Abate currently serves as the Director of IS - Mortgage Systems at Primis since October 2022, bringing extensive experience in information systems and network engineering. In addition to this role, Michael has been a part-time instructor at UNC Wilmington since December 2015, teaching courses in Cyber Security, Microsoft OS, and Cisco IOS. Prior to these positions, Michael held several key roles, including Senior Network/System Deployment Engineer at Lear Corporation and Senior Network Engineer at Guilford Mills, where responsibilities included deploying VMWare environments and managing complex network infrastructures. Michael's educational background includes a Master of Science in Computer Science and Information Systems from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Computer Information Systems from Appalachian State University.
