Alejandro Álvarez Ayllón

Alejandro Álvarez Ayllón is a skilled Software Engineer with extensive experience in high-profile organizations, including Sonar, the University of Geneva, and CERN. At Sonar since November 2022, Alejandro focuses on software engineering projects. Previously, at the University of Geneva from March 2018 to October 2022, Alejandro contributed to the Swiss Science Data Center within the Euclid Consortium, working on software for galaxy distance measurement and developing the "SourceXtractor++" image processing suite. Alejandro held various roles at CERN from August 2009 to February 2018, including Lead Software Engineer for the File Transfer Service and developing a REST interface and monitoring application. Early career experiences included teaching C and C++ at Universidad de Cádiz and participating in a CERN Openlab internship. Alejandro holds a PhD in Computer Science and degrees in Computer Engineering and Computer Technical Engineering from Universidad de Cádiz.
