Rune Meier

Rune Meier has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 1996, they worked as a Project Manager at Storebrand, where they focused on systems development and integration strategies. In 2000, they joined If Insurance as the Head of Customer Systems and was responsible for inventing and supporting new IT solutions. Rune also managed a team of developers and project managers.

From 2005 to 2015, Rune Meier worked at Aditro in different roles, including Product and Development Director for Huldt & Lillevik software family. Rune was also the Business Development Director for Aditro's Customer Service Centre and the Manager for Aditro Academy.

In 2015, they joined Visma as the Team Manager for various teams, including Inbox team, Cost Request team, and Huldt & Lillevik R&D. Rune later became the Development Manager for Upper SMB Assets.

Rune Meier also had international experience, serving as a Staff Officer for the United Nations Mission in South Sudan from 2019 to 2020. Rune was responsible for various tasks supporting the mission.

In 2021, they worked as an Agile Consultant/Business developer at Sonat AS and later as a Project Coordinator/Agile Coach at KLP, where they coordinated the implementation of IFRS 17 accounting requirements for insurance contracts.

Additionally, they served on the board at Hadeland Energi from 2008 to 2012 and held various roles in Gran Kommune, including Steering Group Leader for Municipal International Cooperation and Deputy Mayor.

Rune Meier's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Economy and Systems development from the University of Agder (UiA), which they obtained from 1994 to 1996. Rune then pursued a degree in Insurance as a Forsikringskandidat at BI Norwegian Business School from 1996 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Rune Meier has also completed various certifications. Some of these include the IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) 3 from Syscom AS in April 2010, the Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in November 2013, and the ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Testing from ICAgile in May 2017.

Rune Meier has also pursued further education and professional development through part-time studies. In 2010 to 2011, they attended the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences for HRM studies. Furthermore, they have participated in training programs such as Dale Carnegie Training for Communication and Leadership in 2007 and Høyres Lederskole for Political history, debate, press, etc. in 2008.

More recently, Rune Meier has obtained certifications such as the Certified Scrum Professional - Product Owner, Certified Scrum Professional - ScrumMaster™, and Certified Scrum Professional™ from Scrum Alliance in February 2018. Rune has also completed the Forretningsmodellering from Innovation Norway in May 2022 and the Agile Meets Design Thinking from Coursera in July 2020.
