Dean Wang

Dean Wang has a diverse background in engineering, with experience in various roles and companies. Dean is currently working as an Engineer at Sonatus starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were a Staff Hardware Engineer at Cruise from 2020 to 2022, where they were responsible for hardware design and development for Ethernet switches and GPU-based compute nodes. Before that, they worked as a Senior Hardware Engineer at Zoox from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, Dean has experience as a Senior Applications Engineer at Supermicro from 2015 to 2019, where they provided technical advice on server platforms, architecture proposals, and configurations for HPC and HCI requirements. Dean also held leadership positions at Inventec from 2005 to 2015, including Senior Director of Engineering and System Architect. Prior to that, they were a Senior Director of Engineering/Operations and Director of Operations at 3UP Systems from 2002 to 2005. Dean also worked as a Software Manager at LSI LOGIC in 2001 and as a Systems Architect at iPolicy Networks from 2000 to 2001.

Dean Wang attended National Taiwan University from 1977 to 1981, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering. Dean then pursued further education at North Carolina State University from 1984 to 1986, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dean Wang also has several certifications, including "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences" from LinkedIn obtained in September 2021, and various Python and programming-related certifications from LinkedIn obtained between 2019 and 2020. Dean also completed several online courses in Machine Learning, Applied Regression Analysis, Game Theory, Economics, and other fields from institutions like Coursera, The Ohio State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Stanford University, and Rice University in the years 2014 and 2015.
