Thong Bui

Thong Bui has extensive work experience in various technology roles. Thong is currently working at SonderMind as a Staff Engineer. Previously, they worked at Total Brain as a Lead Software & ML Engineer and as a Senior Software & Data Science (Machine Learning) Engineer. Prior to that, Thong worked at OpenIssue, LLC as a Data Analyst & Architect - Independent Consultant, where they explored and analyzed client data using data visualization and led the development of data schema and automated content ingestion and data summary reports. Thong also has experience in the academic field, having pursued a Master's in Information and Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Earlier in their career, Thong worked at Rhapsody International as a Senior Lead Software Engineer, at RealNetworks as a Lead Software Engineer, at GetThere as a Senior Software Developer, at Oracle as an Oracle DB Software Developer, and at Teradata as a Software Engineer. Throughout their career, Thong has gained proficiency in various technologies such as Java, Scala, SQL, Python, AWS, Oracle, and Unix.

Thong Bui completed a Master of Information and Data Science degree in the field of Data Science at the UC Berkeley School of Information from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, Thong Bui obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California. In addition, Thong Bui also obtained two certifications, "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera in February 2018 and January 2018 respectively.
