SONG ACADEMY – The Sound Of Youth Empowerment

Founded 17 years ago, Song Academy is the leading songwriting platform for young people aged 8-22. 

Song Academy has become a recognised launchpad for the next generation of songwriters and artists, while strengthening young people’s emotional well-being and creative resilience.  We’ve created a thriving ecosystem of young songwriters, emerging artists, music teachers & leaders in the education and music industries.

For young people who've already started writing their own songs we can level-up their songwriting, help their songs stand out and connect them to a talented tribe of like-minded young songwriters.  As well as helping write more impactful songs, they can apply to join our mentoring programme, Ad Lib. which gives a clear pathway to the music industry, demystifying how the music business works and providing connections.

For musical & creative young people who've never written a song, our professional songwriters will help get them started and develop their songwriting skills.

All aspiring young songwriters around the world can enter The Song Academy Young Songwriter 2026 competition (entry period from the 1st February to 31st March 2026) and get their songs heard by leaders in the industry as well as connecting to a talented community of young songwriters across the world.
