Natalia Chavez has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Natalia started their career as a Construction Assistant at Chavez Construction from September 2010 to July 2013. From August 2013 to July 2016, they worked as a Specialty Team Member at Whole Foods Market. In January 2016, they took on the role of a Substitute Teacher at Sonoma County, covering classrooms from Kindergarten to 12th Grade and special education classes until February 2017.
In August 2016, Natalia became the Visitor Services Coordinator at the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, where they ensured the safety and comfort of museum guests, managed volunteer coverage, and operated the museum floor and education room until February 2017. From February 2017 to July 2017, they served as a Consulting Utility Forester at Western ECI.
Natalia then held internships at the Bolinas Museum as a Collections Intern from May 2018 to August 2018 and at the California Academy of Sciences as a Collections Intern from February 2018 to July 2018. Natalia also worked as a Library Contractor at the California Academy of Sciences from July 2018 to November 2018, providing library archive services and digitizing collection materials.
In January 2019, Natalia became a Marketing Assistant at the Humane Society of Sonoma County until March 2019. From March 2019 to November 2020, they worked at the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber as the Leadership Santa Rosa & Young Professionals Network Program Coordinator, where they supported the Young Professionals Network and coordinated programs and events.
Currently, Natalia works at Sonic as a GIS Analyst. Natalia started as a GIS Analyst I in November 2020, collaborating with teams to engineer, design, and maintain Sonic's fiber-optic cable network. Natalia organized utility pole data, parcel & address information, and fiber cables for ongoing projects, and prepared detailed maps using ArcMap. In July 2022, they were promoted to GIS Analyst II.
Natalia Chavez's education history includes a variety of degrees and certifications. Natalia obtained a GIS Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from San Francisco State University from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Museology/Museum Studies from the University of San Francisco between 2017 and 2018. Natalia also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geology/Earth Science, General from Sonoma State University, which they completed from 2010 to 2013.
In addition to their degrees, Natalia has obtained several certifications. In July 2022, they completed the "Python for Non-Programmers" certification from LinkedIn. Natalia also achieved the "Professional Certificate in Geographic Information Science" from the San Francisco State University College of Extended Learning in May 2021.
