Brian Chen

Brian Chen has over 20 years of experience in quality engineering and management roles in various technology companies.

Brian started their career in 2001 as a Senior NPI Engineer at New Kinpo Group, where they focused on designing, developing, and implementing critical to quality metrics and supporting product qualification and launch processes.

In 2010, Brian joined ADB as an EMS QC Supervisor, where they achieved quality goals, developed procedures, and implemented quality control systems for IQC, IPQC, and OQC. Brian also played a key role in the development and support of contract manufacturers.

In 2014, Brian moved to Dell Technologies as a Senior Quality Engineer. Brian was responsible for formulating sampling procedures, recording and evaluating quality and reliability data, monitoring production yield and defect rates, and conducting defect analysis. Brian also provided cost estimates for product design changes.

Brian joined SonicWall in 2016 as a Quality Senior Engineer and later became a Quality Principal Engineer. In these roles, they facilitated communication between the company and its manufacturing partners, coordinated new product development and manufacturing processes, implemented quality requirements with suppliers, and developed supplier quality program indicators and measurements.

Throughout their career, Brian has demonstrated a strong emphasis on quality control, supplier management, and process improvement.

Brian Chen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Chung-Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan R.O.C. Brian completed their undergraduate education from 1995 to 1999. In addition to their degree, Brian Chen has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Brian became a Certified Quality Technician (CQT) from the Chinese Society for Quality in July 2004. Later, in February 2019, they obtained the ISO 9001 Lead Auditor - Quality Certification from SGS. Most recently, in January 2021, Brian Chen earned the Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification from the Chinese Society for Quality.
