Andreas Loibnegger

Andreas Loibnegger is the SVP Global R&D at Sonion. Prior to joining Sonion, Andreas served as the Chief Technology Officer & Head of R&D at Bluewater Group from June 2018 to February 2020. In this role, Andreas was responsible for leading the global end to end Technology, Research & Development team, developing breakthrough solutions in Water purification, functionally enhanced water und user experience.

From October 2007 to May 2018, Andreas served as Vice President, Global Head of Innovation and Development Domestic Appliances and Kitchen Appliances at Philips. In this role, Andreas was responsible for driving the technology and product roadmap, as well as open innovation and assessment of emerging technologies for Philips Domestic Appliances and Kitchen Appliances.

Andreas has a passion for digitalization and has been a driving force in the digital transformation of both Philips and Bluewater Group. Andreas has also been responsible for leading the global Manufacturing, Quality & Sourcing team for both Philips and Bluewater Group with manufacturing locations in Europe, South Africa & China.

In addition to their work in R&D and manufacturing, Andreas has also been responsible for M&A activities and technology assessments for potential investments in start-up companies with a focus on water, food and alternative energy. To date, Andreas has completed four investments in start-up companies in the last 6 months.

Andreas Loibnegger reports to Niels Svenningsen, CEO & President. They are on a team with Niels Ole Jeppesen - General Director Philippines, Henric Isacsson - Senior VP Sales & Marketing Hearing Health, and Mette Boje-Larsen - General Counsel.
