Michael Geiger

Michael Geiger serves as the Director of Technology Innovation and Bereichsleiter Batterietechnik at sonnen GmbH since July 2013, focusing on the development, testing, and design of lithium-ion batteries and battery modules for energy storage systems (ESS). Prior experience includes roles as a research and development engineer and project leader at Siemens Energy, where responsibilities involved directing projects related to gas turbine auxiliary systems, from October 2010 to June 2013. An academic background includes a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in process engineering with a specialization in energy process engineering from Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm, complemented by a general higher education entrance qualification in technology from Staatliche Berufsoberschule Memmingen and training as an industrial mechanic in devices and precision engineering at Magnet Schultz Memmingen.
