David Helton

David Helton is an experienced professional in logistics and supply chain management, currently serving as Materials Manager for Steel Sourcing at Sonoco since August 2025. Previously, David held roles as Buyer/Planner and Purchasing Analyst at Aptiv from July 2023 to August 2025, as well as a Purchasing Intern at Lear Corporation during the summer of 2022. David began his career at U.S. Ice Corporation, where responsibilities included planning and executing delivery orders for over 3,000 customers while managing a team of more than 25 transportation professionals. Prior to that, David worked as a Social Worker at Easterseals MORC from December 2018 to May 2021. David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business, completed in May 2023, following a high school diploma from Wylie E. Groves High School in 2019.
