Librarian Ii, Teen Services at Sonoma County Library

Stuart Wilkinson is a dedicated librarian with extensive experience in youth and adult services at Sonoma County Library since January 2016, currently serving as Librarian II in Teen Services. Responsibilities include providing outreach programs, technology training, and leading staff and volunteers. Wilkinson has also held leadership roles, including Chair of the Queer Advocacy Team and a member of the Racial Equity Team, focusing on inclusive library services for the LGBTQ+ community and understanding diversity, equity, and inclusion. With a Master of Library & Information Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing from Savannah College of Art and Design, Wilkinson's professional background includes various library roles, from cataloging to managing branch operations and promoting community engagement. Additionally, involvement with the Stonewall Book Award Committee further emphasizes a commitment to LGBTQIA+ literature and advocacy.
