Peter McCutcheon is a highly experienced audio research engineer with a proven track record in noise cancellation technology and acoustic engineering. As the Principal Audio Research Scientist at Sonos, Inc. since April 2024, Peter leads advancements in audio research. Prior to this role, Peter served as the Principal ANC Engineer at Jabra, focusing on strategies to position the company as a leader in active noise cancellation for headphones. Peter's expertise is further demonstrated through previous roles at ams AG, INCUS Laboratories Limited, Dyson, Wolfson Microelectronics, and Dolby Laboratories, where contributions ranged from developing noise cancellation IP to conducting research for innovative consumer products. Peter holds a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering with Music Technology Systems from the University of York.
