Sean Simon

Sean Simon is an experienced Battery Systems Engineer currently employed at Sonos, Inc. since October 2021, where contributions include the development of load profiles and the establishment of a new battery laboratory, significantly enhancing test capacity. Prior to this role, Sean held various engineering positions, including Senior Engineer at Alsym Energy, where leadership in a five-person team led to the procurement of critical manufacturing equipment and supply chain establishment with major multinational suppliers. At A123 Systems, Sean contributed to the introduction of a patent-protected lithium ion battery safety additive and developed an automated processing tool, thereby improving R&D efficiency. Experience also includes roles at 24M Technologies as Process Engineer and R&D Scientist, where a patent was secured, and internships at Keurig Green Mountain and Dow focused on quality assurance and photovoltaic cell research. Sean holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University and a certification in Data Science from Springboard.
